2012: Or Could It Be 2010? (The Bill Cooper Hypothesis)

Milton “Bill” Cooper, when he is reckoned with at all, is usually reckoned with for his tell-all book, Behold A Pale Horse, in which he details 60 years of CIA/NSA coverup of the United States government’s contact with extraterrestrials. To what extent has the United States kept its contact with aliens a secret? According to Cooper, the United States of America and other nations had been signing peace treaties with the aliens since the 60s, and even had an alien ambassador by the name of KRLL (official title: O.H., for Omnipotent Highness–but to humans he would be known as the Original Hostage. Several humans were sent to his galaxy in exchange for him; they were never heard from again). And who was this man to have had access to such sensitive information? He was a member of the Briefing Team of the US Naval Commander in Chief, Special Cases, until he began divulging what he was learning. Cooper, however, realized in the 90s that he had become an agent for disinformation–the government was feeding him lies to discredit him, while using him to spread the lies necessary for creating the fear of an alien invasion which would unite the countries of the world, and enable the establishment of a New World Order, a World Government. We’ve all read our Watchmen, haven’t we?
Around the time at which he began to repudiate earlier statements (c. 1993), Cooper became obsessed with the Babylonian mystery religion–the religion (I am not afraid to reveal) of light–the illuminated sect. In these studies, he developed the hypothesis that an illuminated age would be prepared for by a catastrophic event occurring sometime around the early 2000s, which would enable the coming transformations. Cooper, under mysterious circumstances, was murdered in front of his home in Eagar, Arizona, shortly after 9/11/2001. He had forecasted, in his early 90s radio broadcasts, that the event would pave the way for the coming transformation, which would take nine years to fulfill. In 2010, the world would experience the dawn of the “new age,” for better or worse. And this, I must emphasize, is not a spiritual forecast: Bill Cooper was working with the political information available to him. Perhaps he came too close to the truth.
Bill Clinton, in a private memo made public, once called Bill Cooper, “the most dangerous radio host in America.” Cooper considered it a compliment. Cooper believed he was working for the public good–he envisioned his radio broadcasts as kind of public education program. One of these, from the “Mystery Babylon” series, details the events that would occur/are occurring in the years 2001-2010, as they have been symbolically (and therefore secretly) depicted in the films/novels 2001 and 2010. The radio broadcast follows in which Cooper analyzes the opening scene of 2001: A Space Odyssey in order to reveal “the story of the entire human race according to the history of the mystery religion of ancient Babylon,” and what is to come according to that mystery religion in the year 2010:
